More than 40% of jobseekers in the East Midlands could face sanctions

Not enough jobseekers in the East Midlands are attending work placements and training.

This comes after new figures that show over forty percent of referalls haven’t been completed in the region for nearly four years.

If claimants do not complete training or a work placement they could face financial penalties or even losing their benefits.
