Is the world getting fatter?

A recent damning report by the McKinsey Global Institute claims that 2 billion people, or almost 30% of the global population, are now in the obese category.
Obesity now accounts for nearly 3% of annual economic activity and has cost the UK £47 billion.
It suggests that it’s now more damaging than both alcoholism and climate change.
