Following a string of burglaries in the Castle and Minster wards of Lincoln over last month, Lincolnshire Police are urging residents to keep their homes safe, especially when they’re not in, through simple actions like locking all doors and windows.
Throughout November, the number of thefts from people’s homes in these areas increased, where laptops, handbags, a car and a racer bike had all been stolen.
This time of year is especially targeted by burglars as it’s getting darker earlier and valuable Christmas presents are starting to enter the house.
Lincolnshire Police Press Officer Dick Holmes talked to our reporter Sebastian Edgington-Cole about the burglaries and how to keep your home secure, so click listen to find out more.
