The Rock Train at Christmas

Written by on 23rd December 2014

We shall be rocking the airwaves on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day at 8pm.

On Christmas day we have a festive feel to the show with plenty of rocking Christmas tunes.  There is the usual sprinkling of new tunes and plenty of news about what’s happening in the world of rock and metal.

On Boxing Day we bring you a Festival special. Mark the road warrior went to North Wales to cover Hard Rock Hell and we’ll bring you a flavour of what the festival had in store.

2014 has been a great year for the Rock Train. We’ve been invited to cover festivals at Download, Bloodstock, Sonisphere and have bought you interviews from Hellfest (France), Hard Rock Hell, Hammerfest, the SOS Festival and many many gigs across the country, including our very own venue at the Engine Shed..

In addition to our acoustic sessions we have started to host electric sessions in association with Brayford Radio and The University of Lincoln and we have many bands lined up to visit Lincoln in 2015 to play for us.

In November we hosted our second band night at the Rock Haven in Lincoln bringing great bands from across the UK to the city and pairing them with some of our local talented bands.

2015 promises new album releases from Lincoln bands Knock Out Kaine and Lock up Laura and we will be putting together some special shows in association with Siren FM colleagues to launch these albums with a bang!

We would like to thank everyone at Siren FM for all your help and support this year and everyone who has listened in.

Keep on rocking,

Kev and Mark
