Ed Byrne: “I chose comedy as an alternative to being broke”

Written by on 3rd November 2015

“It’s not really about anything. It’s about an hour and a half.”

So said Ed Byrne when talking to the Sorry for the Inconvenience team about his upcoming Lincoln show, Outside, Looking In.

Charlie Gualtieri, Chris Tuck, Ben Jenkins, Gregor Smith, and Kyle Agius asked Ed about his university career, how he started out in comedy, why he went on a Big Adventure with Dara O’Briain, and how he’d describe Piers Morgan.

You can listen to the full interview below:

An interview with Ed Byrne – Sorry for the Inconvenience by Inconvenience on Mixcloud

Outside, Looking In comes to Lincoln’s Engine Shed on Thursday, November 12, with doors opening at 7:15pm. You can buy tickets for £19 from engineshed.co.uk or calling 01522 837 400.

Almost as importantly, you can listen to Sorry for the Inconvenience every Sunday from 5pm for all your comedy news, interviews, and a lot of added nonsense. Tune in on Siren 107.3 FM in Lincoln or right here on the website.
