Young Journalist Academy – North Kesteven School

Written by on 31st January 2011

Make sure you tune in at 4 o’clock this afternoon to hear the second No Adults Allowed YJA Takeover of the year.  This week pupils from the North Kesteven School newsroom came in to the Siren studios to produce another hour of entertainment and great tunes for your listening pleasure.

In other newsrooms from the Academy the Carres Grammar School went to The Collection last week for the Holocaust Memorial Day.  While they were there they spoke to Holocaust survivor Hanneke Dye and you can hear her memories in today’s show, you can also see a video of the interview here.

Meanwhile students from Priory LSST also went to The Collection to interview internationally renowned ceramic artist Pete Moss.  The artist has just finished exhibiting a large collection of his work at the Hub in Sleaford, as well as the interview on today’s show you can also check out an article with a link to his work on the YJA website here.

Back in the studio today’s presenters Abi and Gaby discuss a variety of issues including their take on the latest series on Dancing on Ice.

You can see how the show is put together by watching the short behind the scenes video below.
