Don’t miss June’s edition of The Reading Room…

Written by on 3rd June 2011

On this month’s programme, The Reading Room Book Group will be reviewing  Margrave of the Marshes, the autobiography of much missed radio legend John Peel, written shortly before his death in 2004 and completed by his wife Sheila. In honour of this, all the music on the show will be culled from the legendary Peel Sessions – and we might even play a couple at the wrong speed!

Also this month we talk to author Henry Hemming about his book In Search of the English Eccentric, Lincolnshire’s new Poet Laureate Joel Stickley talks to us and performs his first specially commissioned poem Theddlethorpe, we hear from New Writers UK, and our Tea Break Story comes from Sarah Ann Juckes.

That’s this Sunday 5th June 10am-12noon, repeated Tuesday 7th June 7pm-9pm here on Siren 107.3FM and around the world at Sirenonline.co.uk.
