Living with Prosopagnosia

Written by on 3rd May 2017

We see so many faces in our everyday lives – both old and new – so what is life like for someone who is unable to recognise them?

It’s known as prosopagnosia or face blindness, and studies suggest that 1.5 million people in the UK have the developmental version of the condition.

Brunchtime presenter Liam O’Dell has been finding out more about the condition, and the science of facial recognition.

If you want to find out more about prosopagnosia, more information can be found on the NHS Choices and Face Blind UK websites.

Stephanie Chase – who was interviewed as part of Liam’s package – also has a YouTube channel about face blindness.
