The Travel Factor!

Fiona Bruce, Huw Edwards, Sir Trevor McDonald and now you!

Yes, Siren FM is giving you the chance to become the next Natasha Kaplinsky or Krishnan Guru-Murthy with our brand new feature – the guest travel reader!

Fed up of radio travel bulletins only mentioning the important roads that really matter to motorists? So are we. That’s why we want you to tell us what’s happening on your road, whether you live in the middle of nowhere or right next to the M1.

Motorists in 2011 underestimate the disastrous effect a loose chicken in a country lane can have on the world economy, or the way in which disregarded horse poo could be contributing to the rapid decline in the number of tigers in India. We at Siren aren’t ones to miss a trick and we want to let the people of Lincoln know about these deathtraps on crucial arteries through our county’s heartlands.

So, if you want to give us the latest from outside your bedroom window, office block, nan’s bungalow or anywhere else for that matter, apply to become our guest travel reporter for the week.

As a reporter, you’ll be reading two bulletins to go out on Tom Davies’s show on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 9 and 11am, as well as choosing some of the songs we play on Siren FM. And, when you’re a world famous travel reader with a multi-million pound book deal you can look back and remember fondly those six reports on Siren FM which launched you to international stardom.

Click here to visit Tom’s facebook page and apply to become our travel reader.

Alternatively, you can send an e-mail to tomdavies@sirenonline.co.uk containing your name, contact telephone number and the name of the city/town/village in which you live. We look forward to hearing from you!
