It’s been a busy few weeks here on Siren FM, with a few new shows starting and some returning – and there’s still more to come! So we thought we’d bring you up to date on the latest on the schedule about what we’re doing…
There’s exciting times ahead as No Adults Allowed, the show for young people in secondary school all the way up to sixth form and above, is now going to be on air five days a week from 3pm!
Megan and Sarah will still be found on Wednesday and Fridays with their regular lineup of music and games, while George returns to No Adults with his new Thursday show, and show regular Kitty will be taking the reigns of a new Monday show with a bit of a movie feel. You’ll also find a shorter dose of No Adults each Tuesday, as Kitty and Kathleen bring you and hour for fun and entertainment.
And with the new year at the University of Lincoln well underway, we see the return of a few shows supported by the staff and students. Our Friday drivetime show City Vibe is back on Friday, October 19th with the team of students from the School of Journalism. They’ve been rehearsing for the last few weeks and the show is sounding great – so tune in from Fridays at 5 for your news, sport and entertainment fix.
Also produced by students, the School of Media are hard at work preparing the new series of New Wave: which will bring you the last week in culture and media. That will be on Tuesdays from 4 ’til 5pm, starting on October 23rd.
Also already back on the schedule is Professor Richard Keeble with newspaper review show Behind the Headlines on Tuesdays at 10am, Monday breakfast show The Watercooler, Sunday night entertainment and innuendo-fest Something for the Weekend as well as Monday night football chat from Park the Bus.
There’s also been a few new shows in the last few weeks worth catching, as Jess Ratcliffe (of the Rhythm and Blues show) is your daytime host from 12-1 on a Thursday, and all things in gaming, tech and geek culture have a new home with Jon Cresswell and Darren Cooke on Connected, Fridays from 1-3pm.
There’s tons of great shows across the Siren schedule for you whatever your interest and there’s still more to come: so for the latest, keep checking the website and the full details on the schedule page, or follow us on Twitter: @sirenfm.
