Exactly 1 year ago this week we were sent a request to play a couple of songs by a young local band, Lock up Laura.

The two songs were Crashing Down and Dreaming of Insomnia. We liked the tracks and ended up playing both of them on the show. since then we have stayed in touch with the band who have built up a strong and loyal following in Lincoln and beyond.

We invited them into the studio for an acoustic session in May this year and you can see the videos by following these links;

Hold My Breath

Masquerade

Alone With You

Open Arms

Please have a listen to the songs and let us know what you think. Try and catch Lock up Laura playing live soon as they really are one of the most promising bands in the area and if the album is as good as they tell us, we are in for a treat.

Unfortunately the studio gremlins ate the studio recordings of the Siren FM acoustic session and the interview but luckily Mark’s video record survived.

We are delighted to share the news that Lock up Laura are releasing their debut album, Running in the Dark, in the next few weeks. They will be coming in to speak to us on The Rock Train once the album is released to talk about this long awaited work.
