“It’s their legacy.” Schoolchildren visit the IBCC

Written by on 4th November 2015

On Tuesday 03 November, 26 pupils from Heighington Millfield Primary Academy visited the International Bomber Command Centre on Canwick Hill, in Lincoln.

They went there to place  paper poppies on the memorial walls, which list the 25,611 Aircrew that flew out of Lincolnshire and adjacent airbases during World War Two, never to return.

A few of the pupils, as well as members of the IBCC spoke to Drivetime presenter Sebastian Edgington-Cole at the site, and you can hear his full coverage on the link down below.

A veteran tells his story to the pupils.
