“Time for Older Adults in Lincolnshire to Learn Some New Tricks!” Says SoundLINCS

Written by on 11th July 2016

New Tricks Stacked

Community music organisation soundLINCS have announced a brand new set of free taster sessions for their New Tricks project, offering older adults across Lincolnshire the opportunity to be a part of establishing new musical groups in various venues across the county.

Whether you’re a child of the swinging 60s or the roaring 20s, if you’re an existing musician, want to blow the dust off something you haven’t played since school, or even if you’re a complete beginner wanting to try something new, then New Tricks will have something for you!

All genres and instruments are welcome, from rock to reggae and guitars to gamelans. The taster sessions will offer the opportunity to meet other participants and work with a soundLINCS Music Facilitator to help progress and develop the musical interests that people display a passion for.

The project is funded through Arts Council England and is supported by various Lincolnshire One Venues across the county where the first batch of taster sessions are taking place from July to October:
