Food for Thought chats to Michel Roux Sr and Brian Turner

On this week’s show Sam Pidoux and I have been chatting to two great chefs: Michel Roux Sr and Brian Turner. They were talking about The Roux Scholarship which Michel started with his brother, Albert, 30 years ago to help support British chefs.
Also on the show this week Sam visited an allergy and free from fair in Olympia in London last weekend, and this weekend Lincolnshire will have its own gluten free food fair.
On Monday morning Sam Pidoux and myself had one of the best interviews ever — Michel Roux Sr and Brian Turner. They were talking to us about The Roux Scholarship and throughout the interview it was obvious how much they love food and educating others about food.

Food for Thought regularly tackles the subject of gluten free food and this week Sam told me about her trip to London to visit an allergy and free from fair. As well as finding plenty of different gluten free foods she also says it was great to talk to vendors and learn more about what’s out there for people who can’t eat wheat.
Lincolnshire is also hosting its own gluten free food fair this weekend. Sam chats to Jane Barringer, the organiser of the event, to find out more.
