Food for Thought: Baked by Eileen

Most of the cafes and restaurants that I feature on Food for Thought I find just by walking around Lincoln and trying out new and different places to have lunch. Others, as is the case for this week’s interviewee, I find on Twitter.
There are loads of local food companies, chefs and food producers online who are sharing their experiences from the kitchen and taking tempting pictures of what they’ve cooked. Everything made by Baked by Eileen comes from her kitchen at home, so Twitter is a good way to showcase her work to others.
Eileen finds it important to use seasonal goods when making her cakes, as well as using good quality local ingredients. She also supports local by selling her cakes at the Farmers Market in Castle Square and supplying independent cafes in Lincoln with cake.

Thanks to the summer weather bees have been inviting themselves into my house via the open windows, however, this might have got you thinking about looking after bees properly.
