All change for Summer!

Written by on 9th June 2010

The sunshine is signalling the approach of Summer and along with that we have some schedule changes here at Siren too.

The Ten Tonnes team have taken a well-earned summer break and will be back in September, so have The Linc team which means the Sunday podcast will be back in the new academic year. The Siren News team will be scaling back the bulletins over the summer as most of the team are also away. Make sure to check us out for an update on that soon.

It’s not all holidays though as we are proud to bring some new programming to the Siren airwaves over the summer months.

Tuesday nights from 9 ’til 10 see a brand new show called Challenge O’clock providing something a little bit different to the schedule, it’s difficult to describe with words so make sure you listen to find out more.

The 2nd June will be the launch date for a new programme called Midweek Madams, on air between 1 and 3 on Wednesday afternoons. The show is set to be Siren’s answer to ‘Loose Women’ and will be sure to feature some lively debates.

Finally the 4th July is the date for the first edition of our new monthly show for Sunday mornings. The Reading Room will be Siren’s very own literary show and will be on the first Sunday of every month between 10 and 12 with a Tuesday night repeat at 7.

All in all, it’s looking like it’s going to be a great summer for Siren!
